Set your calendar reminders for these five Charlotte, NC events that will pack 2017 with plenty of things for pups and people to do! From keg pulls to galas to festivals to expo’s, there is something for every owner and their canine companion. 

1. K9 Keg Pull

Located at the High Country Taproom and Dog Bar in Sugar Mountain, North Carolina, this January 7, 2017, the event is both dog and human-friendly. Your dog is matched with an appropriately sized keg or can, and you walk or run beside them on the snow course. There will also be prizes and a silent auction. Hope your dog is in shape for the event! The admission fee is $10 per dog. 

2. Pet Palooza Festival and Walk for the Animals

To be held in April 2017, the Humane Society of Charlotte is hosting their Pet Palooza Festival with plenty of activities for both human and canine. There will be a 2k dog walk, music, doggy fashion, a police dog demonstration, and an adoption station to help find animals new homes. Of course, there will be plenty of food and a beer garden, too. 3. Charlotte Pet Expo

Mark your calendar for the dates of May 6 and 7, 2017. That is the weekend of the 8th annual Charlotte Pet Expo! There is free parking and admission. There will be many exhibitors, prizes and giveaways, plenty of options to adopt a new dog friend, free nail trimming, and discounts on basic medical care like vaccines, heartworm, and flea prevention. 4. Charlotte Run with your Dog Meetup Group

How about joining the Charlotte Run with your Dog Meetup Group, which creates various events throughout 2017? Past events include a 4 mile Little Sugar Creek Trail run and the Woof’n & Hoof’ n Dog Jog. 5. Ties & Tails Gala

Although an official date for 2017 has not been set yet, this Humane Society annual event was a great success in 2016. It has a cocktail reception for human friendly drinks, a silent auction, dinner, funny performances, videos, and a live auction with prizes. 6. Paws In The Park

Indian Trail Park Department is having their first Annual Paws In The Park May 13th at Chestnut Square Park in Indian Trail
