How did the Depot at Gibson Mill get their start?
Rich in history, the now pet-friendly Gibson Mill has been around for hundreds of years, quite literally. Employing families in Cabarrus County and beyond, Gibson Mill produced bedding until the unfortunate (or fortunate, depending on how you look at it) change in manufacturing here in the United States. Manufacturing experienced a “global shift” and most manufacturers moved production overseas to places like China. The shift sadly closed the doors of business on Gibson Mill.
