Why We No Longer Charge By The Minute for Pet Sitting

Every pet has different needs. Your goldfish, for example, will likely need much less attention than another person’s rambunctious young puppy. Yet, when you hire a pet sitter to care for your beloved pets, you pay the same fee for the care of your fish as others pay for their dogs, cats, and animals that generally require more time and attention.

That’s all in the past.

Love and Kisses Pet Sitting will no longer charge pet sitting clients by the minute or by time at all. Instead, your pets will enjoy untimed visits that will only end when their needs are satisfied and when they are happy.

Here are some of the main reasons we no longer charge by the minute:

Your pets enjoy the highest quality of care.

A 20 to 30 minute pet sitting visit, which is typically the standard in the pet sitting industry, may be sufficient time for some pets. However, not every pet receives the physical and emotional support they need in that time period and when the pet sitter leaves the pets may become frustrated or angry with their excess physical or emotional energy. As a result, they may become destructive or aggressive, tearing furniture or carpet and growling or barking out of frustration.

We no longer charge by the minute because we understand the importance of meeting your pets’ emotional and physical needs, whether that means enjoying a long walk or spending time cuddling on the couch.

Your pet’s’ specific needs are addressed.

Some pets love their independence, demanding attention from their families – and as an extension, their pet sitter – when they want it. But, others suffer from separation anxiety, crave and flourish when given plenty of love and attention, and may become depressed when they don’t receive the attention to which they are accustomed. Elderly or sick pets may require medication that must be administered a certain amount of time prior to or after eating. We can ensure your pets get their medication precisely when they are supposed to because your pet sitter isn’t staring at the clock, ready to leave at the end of 30 minutes.

However, if your pet is happy after 30 minutes and curls up to go to sleep, we know she’s ready for the visit to end. The pet sitting visit ends only when your pet is happy.

We are committed to your peace of mind.

Leaving your pets behind, even in the care of seasoned and loving pet sitters, can often be stressful, especially with pets being such an integral part of our lives. We no longer charge by the minute because you deserve the peace of mind knowing that your beloved pets are receiving specialized care and will only be left alone again once they are happy and ready to relax.

You no longer have to worry about being charged extra if the pet sitter has to take your pet to the vet or if an emergency keeps the pet sitter at your home longer than intended. With untimed pet sitting visits, you save money.
