Love and Kisses Pet Sitting is always trying to keep you all informed of any information that we come across that we think you will benefit from. Today is one of the days that I came across a GREAT list of food etc that you can print out and keep handy. If your pet ingests any of the things on this list, you will know what to do.
Some foods or substances commonly enjoyed or used by humans are dangerous to dogs. The following table lists some everyday foods and household substances and what potential risks they may pose.
As with anything, moderation is important when providing certain foods to dogs. And, whenever you are in doubt about a specific food or substance don’t give it to your dog before discussing it with your veterinarian. Accidents happen, so if your dog eats something that you are not sure about call your vet.

I had a client call me and tell that her dog was spending the next few days at the veterinary office because he ingested a container of gum. She ate one of those cup holder of gum, you know the big pack. Mom brought her to the vet they induced vomiting. But she is still critical. Monitoring her liver functions for 2 days. This is just an example of what can happen if your pet gets into something that is toxic.
