How to Make Sure Your Pet is Safe on The 4th of July. Some Tips From Your Indian Trail Pet Sitter

The 4th of July is right around the corner and I want to send out a reminder that most dogs do not like fireworks.  If your pet is not a fan of the 4th of July, you need to make sure you have all things in place to keep them safe. Be sure he has a quite spot to rest and make sure you take him out before the fireworks start.

The 4th of July is the #1 time when dogs go missing.  They bolt from the sound of the fireworks out of fear.  Please do not put it off, start planning now for a safe holiday weekend. You will need to arrange for a nice quiet place for him to spend the day away from all the festivities.

You may also want to check with your vet to discuss a possible RX for a sedative  or look into some calming products such as Thundershirt or Calm K9 from Dale Edgar Brand

You  must also make sure that your dog has a ID tag on so that if he does go missing someone can call you so you can get your pet back home safe.

If you are going to be out of the house and need a pet sitter or a dog walker give us a call at Love and Kisses Pet Sitting here in Indian Trail NC at 704-763-9857.  We can come and check in on your fur baby and make sure he is doing OK.
