In case you don’t know, dogs would love to eat almost anything even pineapples. However, veterinarians recommend that eating pineapple for dogs should be in moderation. Apparently, human food can also be good for dogs.
Without you noticing it, dogs have different reactions to food whether processed, cooked or raw. This is exactly the reason it is important to take caution to anything that we feed our dogs. When talking about pineapples, small amount can be good for the dog. When feeding, you may cut the fruit into smaller cubes.
What happens when you feed your dog with pineapple?
If pineapples benefit man, it can also be beneficial to dogs. Pineapple is a popular tropical fruit among men that has exceptional juiciness that balances the taste of tart and sweet. The fruit is known for its antioxidant properties that can help your dog properly digest protein. Bromelain is another beneficial characteristic of pineapple that aids in protein decomposition. Just as human needs protein for wellness, dogs also need it to survive. By giving your dog an piece of pineapple a day, its ability to digest protein helps it absorb more essential nutrients from anything that it consumes. So to say, pineapple as it helps you properly digest food can also be advantageous for dog’s digestion.
Furthermore, it is filled with fiber, vitamin, fructose and many essential minerals that can improve the dog’s immune system. The fruit also contains vitamin C and manganese that further boost the ability of the dog to produce its own vitamin C.
According to studies, serving pineapple to dogs can help it prevent eating its own poop. It is common to all dogs to eat its own feces which is scientifically termed as cocrophagia. To stop this situation among dogs, recent studies show that pineapple is an effective treatment. The reason behind the theory of eating poop among dogs states that they have a weak digestive system. Even after digestion and excretion, there are still undigested nutrients in the poop that is why the dog returns to it and eat again. With that, pineapple can increase the digestive ability of your pet.
Pineapple when eaten by dogs can really make their feces taste bad. Do this at home and you will see a change in the attitude of your dog and it will never play around its poop again. Pineapple can help you proper manage your dogs at home by these little known facts about the fruit.
Remember that feeding your dogs with pineapple should be in control. Anything that is more or less is not good same as serving the fruit to your pet. Although pineapple is not fatal to your dogs, you must take a little caution with it. It is important to note that too much of it may cause diarrhea. Since pineapple has high sugar content, it creates a different reaction to your dog. Apparently, you will not like it if your pet has diarrhea because it’s not just pleasing. One or two slices of pineapple is enough to feed your dog in one sitting.

I am NJ native, most recently living in Cherry Hill, NJ. In 2011, I moved to Charlotte with my husband Bill, and our two kitties, Rosie and Rocket.
My son had moved down here in 2006 for a job, and we decided to follow a few years later. We have been able to enjoy our grandchildren, and the more laid-back lifestyle down here. I have had cats most of my life, and love all animals. Sadly, we lost Rocket in 2014, and Rosie a month ago. So I am without a pet for the first time in years. While I’m sure there will be another cat or two in my future, I have decided to enjoy taking care of other people’s furry friends for the time being. I have volunteered at an animal rescue in the past and found that very rewarding. I look forward to caring for your pets; they will definitely get lots of “love and kisses”

Hi, there! My name is Pam and I grew up in South Texas and have loved animals all my life.
In Texas, I taught school and made sure my classroom always had at least one pet. We relocated to Charlotte area in 1980 and I joined my husband in working as an IT professional for Duke Energy until retirement in late 2016. Through the years of raising two children, we have had many cats, dogs, birds, fish, hamsters, bunnies and tortoises. I love them all! Currently we have four cats that we have rescued over the last 15 years. Everyday is an adventure!

I am a mom of 5 with a revolving door of animals. I have been living in Indian Trail since 2005. I love living here and love the weather.
With five kids there were always animals in our home. I have had fish, hamsters, guinea pigs, ferrets, rabbits, a cockatiel, parakeets, and dogs. I love each one and now that my kids have grown I have time on my hands. I have an 11 yr old Catahoula – Blue, as well as two puppies Sadie (husky, lab, retriever mix) and Heidi (German shorthair pointer) who are both going to be 3. They love to run and walk and play and I enjoy being able to play with them!
I will take care of your animals the way I do mine— with love and attention.

I am excited to be a part of the Love and Kisses team and look forward to taking care of your furry family members.

My mom got me my first dog when she was pregnant with me and I have only been without one for a few years when I lived in an apartment. I then discovered a love of cats, because I just couldn’t be without a pet. I rescued my cat Keeva, who crossed the rainbow bridge in August 2021, at 20 years old. I have also had rabbits, rats, a hamster and fish.
I have a great love for all animals and I’m so excited to be a pet sitter. My family is originally from Pennsylvania but we have lived here since 2017. I’m currently raising 3 human children and one Labrador child named Max.
I look forward to caring for all your babies!
