What happens if my pet sitter has an emergency and can’t get to my pets?

We have a Backup Pet Sitter program in place for this very reason! This will ensure your pets will NEVER be left unattended.  We will be alerted through our LeashTime portal if any visit is left incomplete. If a visit is not completed on time, we check with the Pet Sitter and determine what is going on.  This is one of the reasons we require 2 keys to your home. One stays with the sitter assigned to you and the other is in our office, just in case the sitter would have an emergency and need assistance to complete a visit. You can be assured that your pets are always safe and cared for with Love and Kisses, Pet Sitting and Dog Walking.

Why do you require 2 sets of keys?

We require 2 keys because we may have two pet sitters completing your visits due to their scheduling availability. This is especially true, with long-term vacation schedule requests. Also, we require 2 keys to ensure that your pets are cared for in the event that your primary pet sitter is delayed or is unable to complete their scheduled visit due to an emergency.

What happens if something should happen to my pet while in your care?

We will treat your pet with the utmost care and expertise. Every Pet Sitter is required to keep up-to-date on their Pro Training Pet Hero course which covers pet CPR and basic medical care. When we first meet with you at your Meet and Greet, we have you sign an agreement that states we may take your pet to the vet in case of an emergency.  LeashTime stores all of your provided information in case of emergency. This includes but is not limited to, your local Emergency Contact, your Vet information and any listed medications or health concerns. We will contact you immediately and determine the best course of action.

Can you give my pet insulin shots?

We have some pet sitters trained to provide insulin shots. Not all of our Pet Sitters are trained on them. This is something we would need to discuss with you directly based on your schedule needs and the availability of our trained pet sitters.

Can you give my pet fluids?

We have some Pet Sitters trained to provide this service. This is something we would need to discuss with you directly based on your schedule needs and the availability of our trained Pet Sitters.

Will you bring my mail in and put my garbage out?
